Navigating an Educational Experience through Augmenting our Reality (NEEAR) is mobile augmented reality (MAR) learning experience to assist in accessing expert perspectives. This tablet application was designed, built and formally evaluated to embed video that overlays experts in an ecological environment.

MAJOR PROBLEM SOLVED
Computer vision in an ecological environment became unsolvable with our timeframe. To explore novel research in vertical augmented exploration I helped to innovate on approaches that used GPS and gyroscope inputs. This allowed us to overlay dynamic graphics and text with accessing video feed to situate expert in context.
